gogyoshi ~ Mother Earth

Mother Earth doesn’t dream
of borders or bullets
to guard invisible.
She spends her hours of insomnia
searching for a god humans haven’t corrupted.

    searching for a got humans haven't corrupted . .

    That's exactly what we do, isn't it? . . :)

  2. This is amazing, especially the last line. You have brought the sadness of our Mother to light in such a lovely way. A very powerful five lines. Thank you for posting to this prompt.

  3. wow, this certainly is tight, wrought and oh so beautiful for the anger and ache - the closing lines really are just so piercing ... and now I'm left to muse on whether the Mother - Earth suffers from insomnia at all, or is simply the sleeping giant who will shake it off at her will, as she must, re-balancing and what we call "destroying" in this wild weather events etc. Anyhow - great 5 sentence poem and I'm just going to wander and let my mind rest with the startling notion of what you've put forth.

  6. And the Great Mother is never wrong. So, perhaps we should start thinking about joining her seeking.

    I love this, Susie!
