I find them both despicable. But the latter, the latter is worse. Most of the time, the former has fibbed for so long that the lies start to taste of otherwise. The other one had to accept the invitation to accept the nonsense and then advertise it. Despicable.
I have a feeling this has a greater, or more specific, context than one might at first suppose... A lot of gormless fools taking up too much of our time.
It is a toss-up between the unprincipled and crude (liars) to those clever ones who spice up it up in their subtle ways. Still both are equally ungrateful.
I am picturing a lone writer, stranded at a deserted western outpost, with only an illiterate wolf for a friend. Eventually, a writer's group discovers him and they bring their terrifying manuscripts with them. How will our writer survive this ordeal? Stay tuned! ;-)
Food for thought here Susie. Well put!

ReplyDeleteHank
I despise both of them, Susie. It's like watching a bunch of people enjoy salsa when they would rather just waltz. Sigh..

ReplyDeleteLove where you went with the challenge, (Shay is out there with an illiterate wolf, go find her.)
ReplyDeleteAh, perfect!
ReplyDeleteFancy adjectives is one way of lying.
ReplyDeleteWe poets are real tattle tellers aren't we?
ReplyDeleteBoth detestable indeed; but we must not let either steer the ship.
ReplyDeleteI love this Susie!
