I find that the harvest of thorns seed much of my writing so i can totally relate to this Susie! Another amazing poem you have written with this photo! Your poetic creativity is what keeps your inkwells garden so lovely and full!
Susie, I love your line "Not everything born on my tongue shall be penned with wings"..I love this and sometimes I have to remember not to speak every thought. Lovely.
Beautiful lines, Susie . . . :)

ReplyDeleteAmazing poem. You speak of thorns and I speak of wasps. Perhaps we were on the same path.
ReplyDeleteLovely and pointed. :)
ReplyDeleteHarvest of thorns... amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love the dance between the middle and last stanzas. Not every ink-soul will flight, and some blooming beauties are destined to thorn and bleed.
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of words penned with thorns is that the pain can be savored every time we read them. Very chilling words.
