Glittered stabilimenta
fool prey into trusting
they’ve entered the eye of god.

A spider image sent me on a web search (pun intended) and I learned spiders have a sense of design.
I love the sound of stabilimenta in the context of my poem. The meaning in my non scientific definition is: a little extra lace to attract. :)

I find spiders fascinating, Susie, much to the disgust of my husband. I admire their sense of design and love the ‘glittered stabilimenta’ – we can always do with a little extra lace to attract.
ReplyDeleteThis is just so cleverly devised. I tip my hat in admiration.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness this is good!💘 You had me at "Glittered stabilimenta."
