I love the hope and sisterhood that warns and guides that ultimately triumphs in this! It is always the overly charming ones we must watch out for. Can't trust them for a second!
I like your "Neruda stars" language speakers. Best wishes for them. He is one of my heroes I like him, he comes across to me as a wealthy Robin Hood. ..
As a youth I was always in awe of teens that could win maidens hearts while I failed miserably. Why didn't Lunar's sisters give the girls better advice?
This is brilliant, so clean and forceful, taking us from the very glowing but vaguely disquieting beginning to that cindery, sharp end without a single discordant element. I especially love the Neruda stars, and the opening and closing lines. Excellent piece, Susie.
